Under the great warrior kings of this dynasty, Egypt recovered much of her former territory and status as an empire. The moved the capital north to Tanis, and Memphis revived. The end of the dynasty was marked by short reigns, anarchy, and decline.

Expanded the empire to nearly its old borders. Built mortuary temple at Abydos.
